Director: Audrey Wells
Actors: Diane Lane, Sandra Oh
Plot: Diane Lane?plays?a San Francisco author and book critic who suffers intense emotional pain in the process of divorcing her husband. The movie?shows a courageous woman rebuilding her life after experiencing a devastating loss, the loss of a husband and the loss of a marriage.
Grief:?She did not know that her husband?cheated on her and was crushed when she learned of his betrayal.? To add insult to injury, he also took?a large portion?of her money in the divorce.?
Review: This movie is a hopeful story of a woman who was broken and who overcomes obstacles to become whole again.? We share her fear and dread of living in a foreign country alone.??She confronts many challenges?while remodeling her villa that she bought on a whim in Tuscany. Rebuilding this villa?is symbolic of?the process of piecing together the fragmented pieces of?her soul.? She begins to have an inner healing as she falls in love again.? She begins to gain confidence in herself and in her ability to take care of herself.? She also begins to build an extended family.
I would recommend this movie to anyone who is experiencing fear, grief, and an uncertain future because of a divorce.? It demonstrates that we can not only survive but we can also lead a happy life even if we experience a devastating loss.

Annette captures the essence of this movie and how it can help others in their transition through difficult times. Stories have been a vehicle for sharing healing, inspiration and learning for 100′s of years. This movie makes you feel not so all alone and gives you hope there is something beyond the devastation you may be living.
This review points out the main message of this wonderful movie: “The Best is Yet to Come!” If only all women broken from the “Living Death” that is divorce could know that.
Thanks for putting the word out through your review of this meaningful film.
