The Compassionate Friends, providing support for bereaved families after the death of a child, is one of the 100 nonprofits to be awarded $25,000 for receiving the most votes from its members and friends in the first round of the Chase Community Giving program. The Compassionate Friends now moves into round 2 voting January 15-22 where the charity with the most votes will receive a $1 million grant while five runners-up will each receive a $100,000 award.
