Harold Ivan Smith is a grief specialist and educator at both Saint Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri, and the Carondolet Medical Institute in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Harold Ivan facilitates Grief Gatherings, which are storytelling groups for grievers. His primary research is on the grief of U.S. Presidents and First Ladies and he is a recognized as Fellow in Thanatology by the Association for Death Education and Counseling.
