Gabriel Constans; Grief’s Wake Up Call

Gabriel Constans’ latest book is “Don’t Just Sit There, Do Something! Mary Rondeau Westra; Death of a Son

Mary Rondeau Westra is the author of After the Murder of My Son. A former teacher and fundraiser for arts organizations, she started writing after the death of her 24 year old son, Peter, in 2001. She gave a keynote address at the national conference of The Compassionate Friends in 2011. Nadine Melhem; Trauma and Bereavement in Children

Dr. Melhem is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh. She has been studying trauma and bereavement in children for the past decade. Mark Triplett; Death of an Adult Child

Richard Rosser; Keeping the Creative Spirit after Loss

Richard Rosser is a Children’s Author/Playwright/Cartoonist. While in high school, his brother died in a car accident. Richard has worked in the entertainment business since college. After watching a man steal a parking space from his mother-in-law, Richard created Piggy Nation. Tragically, Richard’s son Nick died in a car accident soon thereafter. Dr. Katherine Shear; The Grief Journey

Dr. Katherine Shear, M.D., is the Marion E. Basia Mosinski, is an Art Psychotherapist in Private Practice in NYC. Basia attributes her career choice in Art Therapy to the traumatic death of her 10 yr old stepson. She made a video about the accident which helped provide focus when it felt like her life was falling apart, and it did. She is the Chair of the Technology Committee of the American Art Therapy Association.
