Dr. Gloria Horsley and Dr. Heidi Horsley are a mother/daughter team and internationally recognized grief experts. They are the founders of The Open to Hope Foundation and the hosts of The Open to Hope Show. In addition, Dr. Gloria is a board member for The Compassionate Friends and Dr. Heidi is an adjunct professor at Columbia University and has a private practice in manhattan. Their message is that others have made it through the grief journey and so can you, if you do not yet have hope lean on theirs.

Your not going to believe this But iam a friend of Eric Hipple’s He was my high school quarterback in Downey Ca . I was checking out his web site and I saw the two of you so I thought I would see what your open for hope foundation was all about . I haven’t been in touch with Eric for years I recieved a letter from our high school about a reunion. Even though I knew I wasn’t going I clicked onto the web site just to see what I would find and I saw a section about distinguished classmates and it was about Eric’s outstanding Monday Night Football game. I read down further and read about Jeff’s suicide and I started to cry. A few years back my nephew brutally murdered my older sister stabbing and strangling her to death . He also killed the family dog who was protecting my sister. I spiraled into depression and anxiety and had thoughts of harming myself. Who would ever think that my high school quarterback and I would be suffering such tragic events in our life’s. I’ve been diagnosed with PTSD in my darkness I reached out to our high school coach at Cerritos College were he is coaching now and he picked up the phone and called Eric so I could talk to him. We talked one other time and Eric told me what med’s to be careful with and gave me some other advice. I think God brought us together. I was so proud of Eric when I saw the great work he was doing. Iam still suffering with the loss of my sister I think what you and your daughter are doing for people is amazing.
