Many of us who have lost a loved one have received signs from them after they passed away. These could be small signs like a significant song playing on the radio or seeing a butterfly. You can also experience things such as vivid dreams with your loved one, who appear healthy and happy. Cherish these moments and hold them dear to your heart, because this is their way of showing you that they are not gone from your life, they are still with you and guiding you through your grief.
Whenever I receive a sign from my son Alex, who passed away as an infant from a heart defect, I know that he is with me. Sometimes I will even ask him to show me a sign, if I am having a weak moment, or just need the comfort of his presence. If I lose something, I ask him to help me find it, and within minutes, I usually do. That is because even though he is physically not here, his spirit is still with me. I know this in my heart.
One of the signs I receive from my son is seeing red-tailed hawks. I see them a lot when I am having difficult times or if I ask for a sign from Alex, I will usually see one or more that very day. There are so many that I could list, but I encourage you to create your own list of signs. This will give you tangible evidence that your loved one is still with you, and will bring a sense of peace to know they can see what you are going through and are there to encourage you and love you as they did on earth.
Over several years I collected stories from people across the globe who experienced signs of their own, and I compiled them into a book called, “Our Angels Await.” The stories I received are fascinating and proof that life does go on, after the physical body has gone.
Some of the most prominent signs that people will receive from their loved ones are: finding white feathers in odd places, finding pennies, their familiar scent will suddenly fill the room, seeing the same butterfly or a bird on a regular basis, or anything else that triggers thoughts of the deceased.
I wish you peace and comfort in the signs that you receive. By acknowledging these signs, you will start to notice them more often and you will then begin to heal.
